Yes, you can schedule TikTok posts. On TikTok's desktop website, upload your video, turn on the schedule toggle, pick a date and time between 15 minutes and 10 days ahead, and click Schedule. These steps and limits are from TikTok's Help Center page on scheduling, read on October 27, 2026.

The short version: TikTok's own scheduler works on desktop web only, not on mobile web, and its help page limits it to eligible accounts. It schedules a video up to 10 days ahead, and a scheduled post cannot be edited, only deleted. To schedule further ahead, schedule photo posts, or plan TikTok next to your other networks, use a scheduling tool that posts through TikTok's official API.

How to schedule a TikTok post on desktop

  1. Sign in to TikTok on a computer and click the Upload icon at the top of your feed.
  2. Upload the video you want to schedule.
  3. After uploading and editing, write your caption, then turn on the schedule toggle and choose a date and time. The time zone is your computer's.
  4. Click Schedule.

When the video goes live, TikTok sends a push notification to your phone. Until then, the scheduled post shows on your profile.

Who can schedule posts on TikTok?

TikTok's help page says that only a "Business Account or over with a 10,000 followers or more can access desktop scheduling." If you do not see the schedule toggle on the upload page, your account does not have it yet. A scheduling tool that uses TikTok's official API does not depend on that toggle.

How far in advance can you schedule a TikTok?

At least 15 minutes and at most 10 days before it publishes. For a month of content, schedule the next 10 days now and the rest as each window opens, or use a tool that holds the post and publishes it on the day.

Can you edit a scheduled TikTok?

No. TikTok says scheduled posts cannot be edited but can be deleted. To change a caption, video or time, delete the scheduled post and schedule it again. Read the caption twice before you click Schedule.

Can you schedule TikTok posts on your phone?

TikTok's help page describes scheduling on its desktop website and says the feature is not available on TikTok mobile web. On a phone, the practical route is a scheduling tool with a mobile app or web page that publishes through TikTok's API.

Can you schedule TikTok photo posts?

TikTok's own scheduler, as its help page describes it, schedules a video you upload. Photo posts (a carousel of images with a caption) can be scheduled through tools that use TikTok's API. In Skryvo, a photo post holds up to 35 photos.

How to schedule TikTok posts with Skryvo

We make Skryvo, so read this section with that in mind. Skryvo publishes to TikTok through TikTok's official API, next to LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Pinterest and the rest of your channels on one calendar:

  1. Sign in with TikTok in Skryvo. The connection goes through TikTok's own sign-in.
  2. Add photos (up to 35) or upload your video (up to 10 minutes and 4 GB). Skryvo does not make video; the video is yours.
  3. Let Skryvo write the caption in your brand's voice, up to 2,200 characters, or ask your AI agent for it from Claude or ChatGPT.
  4. Choose who can see the post. TikTok requires that choice on every post, and Skryvo never picks it for you. Turn comments, Duet and Stitch on or off, and mark branded or promotional content.
  5. Pick a time. Skryvo publishes it then and checks that it went live.

Scheduling starts on Skryvo's Hobby plan at $15 a month; the free plan writes posts. See Skryvo for TikTok for the details.

Tips before you schedule

  • Check the caption length. TikTok captions run to 2,200 characters; our character limits guide covers every network.
  • Pick the time from your own analytics. TikTok Analytics shows when your followers are active; our guide to the best time to post covers the other networks.

I wrote this myself. I have built mobile apps and websites for companies in the US and Europe since 2022, and I built Skryvo after one too many AI drafts fell apart the moment someone checked a fact. Everything I publish here is tested on my own work first, and I show the numbers, including the ones that did not go my way.
