Buffer is one of the simplest schedulers you can use, and its free plan is genuinely useful: three channels and ten scheduled posts per channel. If you already write your own posts and want them out on time, Buffer does that well. Skryvo is a different shape: it writes each post in your brand's voice for each channel, and an AI agent such as Claude or ChatGPT can schedule through it. Prices below were read from Buffer's pricing page on 10 October 2026.
Buffer vs Skryvo pricing
| Free plan | Paid | Priced by | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buffer | 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel | Essentials $5/mo per channel · Team $10/mo per channel | Per channel |
| Skryvo | Free: drafts only, no scheduling | Hobby $15/mo: 20 queued posts, 2 brand voices · Pro $49/mo: 100 queued, 5 brands | Per account, all channels |
Buffer's per-channel price is low for one or two channels and grows with each one you add. Skryvo's price covers every channel you connect; the limit is how many posts can wait in the queue at once.
Where Buffer wins
- Networks. Buffer publishes to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Google Business Profile and Substack as well as LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon and Pinterest. Skryvo's Instagram, Facebook, Threads and TikTok support is built and waiting for platform approval, and Skryvo does not post video.
- A real free scheduler. Buffer's free plan schedules; Skryvo's free plan drafts, and scheduling starts on Hobby.
- Maturity. Buffer has been running since 2010.
Where Skryvo wins
- It writes the posts. Skryvo learns your brand's voice from your site and writing and drafts a version for each channel within its limit. Buffer has an AI Assistant for help with a post; Skryvo's drafting is the core of the product.
- Your AI agent can do it. Skryvo runs an MCP server, listed in Claude's connector directory, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other agents can draft, schedule and read results. See every agent.
- Blogs as well as social. Articles publish to WordPress, WordPress.com and Dev.to from the same calendar.
- Telegram, Discord and Slack channels sit on the same calendar as your social posts.
Which should you pick?
Pick Buffer if you write your own posts and need Instagram or TikTok today. Pick Skryvo if writing the posts is the bottleneck, if you want your AI agent to handle the week, or if your channels include a blog, Telegram or Discord. Both are cheap to try: Buffer's free plan schedules, and Skryvo's free plan shows you the drafts.
Judge the output, not the marketing
The free plan exists so you can compare real drafts side by side.
