What size is a LinkedIn banner?
A LinkedIn profile banner (LinkedIn calls it the cover image) is 1584 × 396 pixels, a 4:1 ratio, as a JPG or PNG under 8 MB. A company Page cover is a different shape: 1512 × 256 pixels, under 3 MB. Upload at exactly these sizes and LinkedIn has nothing to stretch or blur.

Where does the profile photo cover the banner?
On a desktop profile, your photo overlaps the lower-left of the banner, about the first fifth of its width. On a narrow screen it covers much more: roughly the left third, from a quarter of the way down. We measured both on LinkedIn's web profile; the app can differ slightly, so keep text and faces in the centre and right half.
What size is a LinkedIn company Page cover?
1512 × 256 pixels, under 3 MB. Many guides still quote 1128 × 191, an older size; LinkedIn's own Page help lists 1512 × 256 as both the minimum and the recommended size. LinkedIn also advises keeping key details away from the edges, especially the lower-right corner, because the cover is trimmed on some screens.

Why does my LinkedIn banner look blurry?
Usually the image is smaller than 1584 × 396 or heavily compressed. LinkedIn suggests a larger file; photos stay sharper than images with logos and small text.
