Pick a size, drop in an image, and see it in a LinkedIn post before you download it at the exact pixels. Every size here falls inside LinkedIn's 3:1 to 4:5 range, so none of it gets cropped. Your image never leaves your device.

1080 × 1350 pixels (4:5) for a single image. LinkedIn recommends images 1080 pixels wide, and 4:5 is the tallest ratio it shows without cropping, so a portrait image takes the most room in the feed. A square 1080 × 1080 is the safe choice when the same image also goes to other networks.
| Image | Size (pixels) | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Portrait post | 1080 × 1350 | 4:5, the tallest LinkedIn shows without cropping. |
| Square post | 1080 × 1080 | 1:1, shown in full. |
| Landscape post | 1920 × 1080 | 16:9, inside LinkedIn's 3:1 to 4:5 range, so shown in full. |
| Link image | 1200 × 627 | 1.91:1, the ratio LinkedIn gives for a custom image on a link post. |
| Wide post | 1620 × 540 | 3:1, the widest LinkedIn shows without cropping. |
Each upload can be up to 5 MB.
An image must be at least 552 × 276 pixels; LinkedIn recommends 1080 pixels wide.
The ratio can run from 3:1 (wide) to 4:5 (tall). Anything taller is centred and cropped to 4:5.
You can add up to 20 images to one post. With several, LinkedIn shows them at most 4:5 tall and lays them out from the first image.
A post carries either a link or images, not both. A link post takes its preview image from the page you share.
Photos cannot be resized or edited after you post them.

Yes. 1080 × 1350 is exactly 4:5, the tallest ratio LinkedIn shows in full, and it uses LinkedIn's recommended width of 1080 pixels.
It can be. Any ratio from 3:1 to 4:5 shows in full, and 16:9 sits inside that range. 1920 × 1080 works well for slides and screenshots, though it takes less of the feed than a square or portrait image.
1200 × 627 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio. LinkedIn says it must be over 200 pixels wide, or it shows as a small thumbnail beside the link.

No. Cropping and resizing happen in your browser.
