LinkedIn profile picture cropper
Drop in a photo, line your face up with the guide, and see it in the circle at the sizes LinkedIn shows it. Download a sharp 400 × 400 copy. Your photo never leaves your device.
What size is a LinkedIn profile picture?
At least 400 × 400 pixels and at most 7680 × 4320, in JPG or PNG under 8 MB, according to LinkedIn Help. LinkedIn shows it as a circle, so a square image with your face in the middle works best. Upload a larger original if you have one; LinkedIn scales it down.
What makes a good LinkedIn profile picture?
LinkedIn's own photo tips come down to a few rules: a recent photo that looks like you, high resolution, your face filling about 60% of the frame (crop from the top of your shoulders to just above your head), you alone in the picture, a plain background, soft natural light, and what you would wear to work. LinkedIn also says that having a photo at all makes a profile 14 times more likely to be viewed.
What can't you use as a LinkedIn profile picture?
LinkedIn's profile photo guidelines allow an illustration or caricature of you, but it must reflect your likeness. It may remove photos that are only a company logo, emoji, landscape, animal, words, a flag, a childhood photo, or someone else's likeness, including stock photos and celebrities.
