Checked against each tool's own pricing page on November 7, 2026.
The best Jasper alternative depends on the job you bought Jasper for. For team chat with several models, Copy.ai is the cheapest at $29 a month. For search-driven articles, look at Frase. For ad and marketing copy with performance predictions, Anyword. If you want articles checked against their sources and then published, that is what we built Skryvo for.
The short version: Jasper Pro costs $69 a month, or $59 billed yearly, and Business is custom. Two tools often listed as direct rivals have since moved: Writesonic now leads with AI search visibility, and Rytr leads with everyday communication. Every price below was read from each tool's pricing page on November 7, 2026.

What is better than Jasper AI?
No single tool is better at everything, so name the job first. Jasper's own page now sells brand voice, agents and AI search reports to marketing teams. If you use all of that, it is a fair choice. If you mostly write, you are paying for parts you will not open, and one of the tools below will cost less.
1. Copy.ai: shared AI chat for a small team
The Chat plan is $29 a month for 5 seats with unlimited words in chat, chat projects and models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, or 20% less billed yearly. Past that, its page sells guided go-to-market workflows for sales and marketing teams. See Skryvo vs Copy.ai.
2. Frase: articles built around search
Starter is $39 a month billed yearly ($49 otherwise) for 1 seat, 1 site, 10 articles and 50 audit pages a month. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or its own CMS, and scores content for search and AI visibility. Professional is $103 billed yearly ($129 otherwise) with 3 seats. There is a 7-day trial with no card.
3. Anyword: marketing copy with performance predictions
Starter is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for 1 seat with unlimited copy, 1 brand voice, 50 performance predictions and a blog wizard with a plagiarism checker. Data-Driven is $99 with 3 seats and 100 predictions. It suits teams who care most about which ad or email line will perform, and both plans have a 7-day trial.
4. Writesonic: if AI search is the real goal
Its pricing page now opens on finding the prompts that recommend your competitors. Starter is $79 a month billed yearly and tracks 50 prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with 15 AI articles and 10 site audits a month for 1 user. Basic is $199 billed yearly. It belongs on this list if you want that tracking; as a plain writer, the entry price is high.
5. Rytr: the cheapest paid writer here
The free plan gives 10,000 characters a month. Lite is $9 for unlimited characters, or $7.50 billed yearly, Personal $19 and Pro $49. Its plans now include connected sources, relationships and daily briefings, so it reads less like a marketing suite and more like an assistant for everyday communication. It is the budget pick if you only need short drafts.
6. Claude: a general assistant, if you do the checking
Claude has a free plan, and Pro is $20 a month or $17 billed yearly. A general assistant writes well, but keeping your brand's voice, checking each claim and publishing are all left to you. Our test of seven chatbots on the same writing briefs shows where that goes wrong.
7. Skryvo: if you want articles checked and published
We make Skryvo, so weigh this one accordingly. It researches each article from real sources and checks its cited sentences against them: across 452 articles, most from our own and test accounts while we were still improving the system, 92.3% of 6,683 checked claims came back verified or likely true. Our fact-checking page shows how. It writes in your brand's voice and publishes to channels including WordPress and Dev.to, after your go-ahead. Hobby is $15 a month and Pro $49, both with a 7-day free trial.
Three trade-offs: it does not track your brand in AI answers the way Writesonic does, it has no free plan, and it is a young product without many reviews yet. You can try the free AI article writer without signing up. See Skryvo vs Jasper, the AI blog writer and the best AI blog writers for WordPress.
Is Jasper AI still worth it?
Yes, if a marketing team uses its brand controls, agents and shared workspace every week. For one person writing a few articles a month, $69 buys more than the job needs, and Frase, Anyword or Skryvo cost less for that work.
Which is better, Jasper AI or ChatGPT?
They solve different problems. ChatGPT is a general assistant with a free plan, and its paid prices vary by country, so read them on its own page. Jasper is built around marketing teams, with brand voice and shared workflows. If you write alone and will check every fact yourself, start with a chatbot. See Skryvo vs ChatGPT for how a checked workflow differs.
Can I use Jasper for free?
Only for a trial. Jasper's page lists two plans, Pro and Business, and offers a free trial, but no free plan. Rytr and Claude do have free plans, and Skryvo's free AI writers work without an account.
How to choose in one afternoon
- Write down the one job. Articles, ads, team chat or AI search tracking. Choose the tool for that job and ignore the rest of its feature list.
- Run one real brief through two tools. Use a topic you know well, so you can spot wrong facts.
- Check three claims by hand. Open the sources. How much of this you have to redo is the real cost of the tool.
