Best AI Blog Writers for WordPress: 7 Compared (2026)

Checked against each vendor's own pricing and product pages on November 7, 2026.

The best AI blog writer for WordPress depends on where you want to work and how much you need the facts checked. Rank Math Content AI and Jetpack AI work inside WordPress. Koala publishes straight to your site or as a draft. Writesonic and Surfer suit SEO teams with larger budgets, and Skryvo checks each cited sentence against its source before you publish.

The short version: if you want AI inside your editor, start with Rank Math Content AI at $6.99 a month billed yearly. If you want finished articles sent to WordPress with brand voice, Koala starts at $25 a month. If checked sources matter most, Skryvo's Hobby plan is $15 a month. Writesonic lists Fact Check only on Enterprise, and Surfer's pricing page lists none. We read each vendor's pages on 7 November 2026 and did not run the same article through each tool, so this compares what they state, not output quality.

1. Rank Math Content AI: if you already use its SEO plugin

Content AI is part of Rank Math AI and lets you write inside WordPress, in the block editor and the Classic Editor. Starter lists at $6.99 a month billed yearly, and showed $4.69 in a sale when we read it. It includes 15 long-form articles a month, and limits reset monthly. You can set a default tone in its settings, and its pages make no claim about checking facts.

2. Jetpack AI: quick help while you write

Jetpack AI writes drafts, fixes grammar and makes images in the editor. Each site gets 20 free requests to try it, and the page offers an upgrade for more. Its page does not mention voice controls or fact checking, so it suits small edits better than a publishing routine.

3. Koala: finished articles sent to your site

Koala sends articles straight to WordPress, as drafts to review, or by auto-publishing per brand. Brand DNA reads your site and drafts a voice for you to review. Pricing starts with a one-time 5,000 free words, then $25 a month for 45,000 words, or 20% less billed yearly, and Deep Research with citations starts on the $49 plan. Its page does not say how facts are verified, so the check stays with you. Turn auto-publish on only after you have read a few drafts.

4. Writesonic: articles plus AI search tracking

Writesonic starts at $79 a month billed yearly with 15 articles and 1 writing style, and lists WordPress on each tier. Fact Check appears only on Enterprise. Its Agents docs say work lands in your CMS as a draft and is never published automatically. See our Jasper alternatives guide for how it compares on AI search tracking.

5. Surfer: for teams writing to a ranking score

Surfer's pricing page lists the WordPress integration from Standard at $99 a month billed yearly, with Custom Voices on Pro at $182. It lists a plagiarism checker and AI detector, and no fact check. It costs the most here for one writer and makes the most sense if your work is judged on search scores.

6. Jasper: a marketing team's tool, not a WordPress one

Jasper Pro is $69 per seat a month or $59 billed yearly, with 2 brand voices and a 7-day trial. Its pricing page names WordPress only as a site where its browser extension works, and shows no direct publishing, so plan on pasting or using the extension. See Skryvo vs Jasper.

7. Skryvo: if you want the sources checked before you publish

We make Skryvo, so weigh this one accordingly. It looks up real search numbers to pick a phrase, reads live Google results and up to ten full pages, then writes in your brand's voice with pictures made for the article. Each cited sentence is then compared with its source, and our fact-checking page explains the method and its limits: verified means the claim matches its source, not that the source is right. You connect WordPress by approving Skryvo on your site's application-password page, then publish the article as WordPress blocks after your go-ahead. WordPress.com and Dev.to work too. Claude and other agents that read our live server can plan and write the same article. On ChatGPT the tools are social posts and pictures for now.

An article uses 2 generations, so Hobby at $15 a month or $149 a year covers up to 75 articles if you use its 150 generations on nothing else, with 2 brand voices. Hobby and Pro start with a 7-day free trial.

Four trade-offs. It has no free plan, though the free article writer needs no account. It is not a plugin, so you do not write inside WordPress. It does not publish to Shopify, Webflow or Ghost. And it is a young product with few reviews. If you also want social posts, Instagram and Facebook Pages are still waiting for platform approval.

Which AI blog writer can publish directly to WordPress?

Koala says it can publish straight to your site, as a draft, or automatically per brand. Skryvo publishes after your go-ahead. Writesonic's Agents send drafts and leave publishing to you. Rank Math and Jetpack work inside WordPress, so you publish as usual.

Can AI blog writers keep my brand voice?

Most try, in different ways. Koala and Skryvo build a voice from your website that you can review; Writesonic and Jasper limit the number of voices by plan; Rank Math suggests tone. Test it the same way on each: give it a topic you know, then compare the draft with something you wrote. Our brand voice examples show what to look for.

Is it safe to auto-publish AI articles?

Not until you trust the drafts. Most of these pages either describe no fact check or keep it for the top plan, so an error can reach your site unread. Start with drafts or a go-ahead step, read the cited claims, and only then automate. We checked 186 AI claims to show how often that goes wrong.

What this comparison does not tell you

We read vendors' own pages on 7 November 2026 and did not generate the same article in each tool, so nothing here measures writing quality or how well a voice matches. "Not claimed" means the page we read did not say, not that the feature is absent. Prices change, so confirm them on each vendor's page.

Pick the step you most want off your desk: writing in the editor, sending to the site, or checking the sources. Then try one article on a topic you know well, before you pay for a year.

I wrote this myself. I have built mobile apps and websites for companies in the US and Europe since 2022, and I built Skryvo after one too many AI drafts fell apart the moment someone checked a fact. Everything I publish here is tested on my own work first, and I show the numbers, including the ones that did not go my way.
