Checked against each vendor's own pricing and integration pages on November 7, 2026.
The best scheduler for both Bluesky and Mastodon depends on your budget and whether you post threads. Fedica has a free plan with threads on both networks, Buffer's free plan allows 1 threaded post, Publer is the low-cost paid pick, Postiz can be hosted yourself, and Skryvo writes each version in your brand's voice. Schedulala is the cheapest flat plan, though its page names threads on Bluesky and not on Mastodon.
The short version: for free, start with Fedica (10 active scheduled posts, threads on both) or Buffer (10 scheduled posts per channel, 1 threaded post). For paid threads on both networks and two accounts, Publer is $9 a month or $7.20 billed yearly, and Buffer is $10 a month billed yearly. If you want the posts written for you, Skryvo's Hobby plan is $15 a month. We read each vendor's own pages on 7 November 2026 and did not run these tools side by side, so this compares what they state, not how reliably they post.

What does each tool cost for one Bluesky and one Mastodon account?
Pricing models differ, so check the cost for your own accounts. Buffer charges per channel, so two channels cost $120 a year on Essentials. Fedica, Postiz, Schedulala and Skryvo charge one plan price that covers both. Publer's total moves with the number of accounts: $5 a month for one and $9 for two, or $4 and $7.20 billed yearly.
1. Fedica: the free plan built around Bluesky
Fedica's Bluesky page says its free scheduler covers posts, threads and crossposts, with 10 active scheduled posts at a time and unlimited drafts. Its Mastodon page says posts, threads, polls and boosts all schedule there, and that this is free too. Paid plans start with Publish at $15 a month, or $10 billed yearly, with up to 100 scheduled posts and a limit of up to 100,000 followers.
2. Buffer: the simple choice for a few channels
Buffer's free plan connects 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each and 1 threaded post, and its AI assistant is included. Paid plans add threads to X, Bluesky, Threads and Mastodon. Essentials is $5 per channel a month billed yearly, and Team is $10. Per-channel pricing stays cheap at two accounts and adds up as you connect more. See Skryvo vs Buffer for the wider comparison.
3. Publer: paid threads on both networks at a low price
Publer's Bluesky page names threads and its integrations page names Mastodon threads, polls and boosts. The free plan connects 3 accounts with 10 scheduled posts each, and threads sit on Professional, with a 7-day trial. We set its account selector to 2 and read $9 a month, or $7.20 billed yearly. The free plan also leaves out X.
4. Postiz: if you would rather host it yourself
The Postiz site says the self-hosted edition, under AGPL-3.0, lets you run it for free on your own server. You then create a developer app on each network and handle updates and backups. Hosted plans start at $29 a month for 5 channels after a 7-day trial, or $23 billed yearly. Its Bluesky and Mastodon pages both name queued threads. See Skryvo vs Postiz.
5. Schedulala: the lowest flat price
Schedulala's Solo plan is $9 a month for 1 account on each platform, after a 7-day trial, and it lists both networks among its 12. Its page names threaded posts on X, Threads and Bluesky, without Mastodon. If you post single updates, that gap may not matter. If you post threads to Mastodon, ask them first.
6. Skryvo: if you want each version written for you
We make Skryvo, so weigh this one accordingly. From one idea it writes a version for each network in your brand's voice, within 300 characters a post on Bluesky and 500 on most Mastodon servers. It schedules posts and threads to both from one calendar, after your go-ahead. You sign in with Bluesky or an app password, and Mastodon works on any server. Hobby is $15 a month or $149 a year, with 20 scheduled posts waiting at once, and Hobby and Pro start with a 7-day free trial.
Three trade-offs. It has no free plan, so Fedica or Buffer is the better start if you only need a queue. Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn Pages and Threads are built but still waiting for platform approval, so it will not cover those yet. And it is a young product with few reviews.
What is the best free Bluesky scheduler that also posts to Mastodon?
Fedica, if you post threads: 10 active scheduled posts in all, and its pages name free threads on both networks. Buffer, if you want 10 scheduled posts on each network and rarely post threads, because its free plan allows 1 threaded post. Publer's free plan also reaches both but keeps threads for paid plans.
How do I schedule Bluesky posts and Mastodon posts together?
Connect both accounts in one of these tools, then check the length first. Bluesky allows 300 characters per post and most Mastodon servers allow 500, so text written for Mastodon can break on Bluesky. Our free post preview counts a draft for each network, and this short answer covers how to connect both.
What this comparison does not tell you
We compared vendors' own pages, read on 7 November 2026, and did not test delivery, so nothing here measures whether a post goes out on time. Metricool's pricing page lists Bluesky and did not mention Mastodon when we read it, so it is left out. Prices change, so confirm them on each vendor's page.
Pick by your next month of posting: count your threads, then choose the cheapest tool that states it handles them on both networks. Then connect your Bluesky account safely.
