What size is a YouTube banner?
2560 × 1440 pixels, a 16:9 ratio, is YouTube's recommended size, and the one that looks right on TVs. The minimum is 2048 × 1152, and the file must be 6 MB or smaller.
What is the YouTube banner safe area?
At the minimum size, the safe area for text and logos is 1235 × 338 pixels in the centre. Phones, computers and TVs crop the banner differently; the safe area is the part every screen shows. At 2560 × 1440 that is about 1544 × 423 pixels in the middle. Keep your name, tagline and logo inside it, and use the rest for background.

Why is my YouTube banner cut off?
Each screen crops the banner differently, and only the centre strip shows everywhere. Keep text and logos inside the 1235 × 338 safe area at the minimum size (about 1544 × 423 at 2560 × 1440).
What size is a YouTube profile picture?
YouTube renders it at 98 × 98 pixels and shows it as a circle. Upload a larger square, such as 800 × 800, as a JPG, PNG, BMP or still GIF up to 15 MB.
